Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Visora ("we", "our" or "us") is a dream journal. This policy explains what we collect when you use the Visora app, why we collect it, who processes it for us, who can see what you share, and the choices you have.

We do not sell your personal information, we do not show ads, we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not use your dreams to train AI models.

2. Information We Collect

Account. Your email address and password, or your Sign in with Apple identity (Apple may give us a private relay email instead of your real one). Passwords are handled by Google Firebase Authentication; we never see them.

Public profile. Your username, name, profile photo, bio, location (if you add one), dream streak and counts (dreams, friends, shared dreams), and whether you have Visora Plus (shown as a badge). Other people using Visora can see these, for example when they search for you or open your profile.

Private details. Your birthdate, used only to confirm you are 13 or older, and your wake-up time and reminder settings, used to schedule your morning reminder. We also record when you agreed to AI processing. Visora never displays these, or your email, to other people, and from version 1.3 they are stored where only you can read them. Accounts created with an earlier version still have a copy on their profile record, which older versions of the app use for username sign-in. We are removing those copies as people update.

Dreams and activity. The dreams you write, their mood and tags, the art and interpretations created for them, the visibility you choose, comments and likes, your friends and friend requests, the people you block and the reports you send.

Subscription. Whether you have Visora Plus and its purchase and renewal status. Apple processes the payment; we never receive your card or payment details.

Usage and technical data. Simple in-app events (for example, app opened, journal opened, dream posted) linked to your account and app version, used to understand and improve Visora. Like any online service, our providers receive your IP address and basic device information when the app connects. Morning reminders are scheduled on your device; we do not collect a push notification token.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Run Visora: save your journal, paint your dreams and write interpretations
• Show what you share in the places you chose (your friends' feed or the Dreamscape)
• Send the morning reminder you set up
• Provide Visora Plus and restore your purchases
• Keep the community safe: review reports, enforce blocks and prevent abuse
• Understand how the app is used so we can improve it
• Answer your support requests

4. Who Can See Your Dreams

• Just me: the dream is visible only to you.
• Friends: the dream is shared, with your name and photo, to your friends' feed. It is not shown in the Dreamscape.
• Dreamscape: the dream text, mood and art are visible to everyone using Visora in a worldwide feed. Your name and photo are never shown there, so leave out details that identify you if you want to stay anonymous.
• Comments and likes on a dream are visible to anyone who can see that dream. Visora never displays your email, birthdate or wake-up time to other people (see Private details above).

5. Service Providers

We use these providers to run Visora. Each one receives only what it needs for its task and is bound by its terms to protect your data at least as well as this policy does.

In Visora 1.3 and later, AI providers receive only your dream text and mood, never your name, email or other account details, and only after you allow it in the app. They process it to create your art or reading and may keep it for a limited time under their own policies (for example, for abuse monitoring). You can turn AI processing off anytime in the app under Settings, Privacy; Visora then asks again before it paints or reads a dream.

Older versions (before 1.3): the app sends your dream text and mood directly from your device to Pollinations (not in private mode) and fal.ai, without the in-app AI consent step, and stored a push notification token. Deleting a dream in those versions does not remove its art or comments until your account is deleted. Update to the latest version for the protections described above.

6. Keeping and Deleting Your Data

We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete any dream at any time. In Visora 1.3 and later, deleting a dream also removes its art and comments.

To delete your account, open the app and go to Settings, Account settings, Delete account. Your account is then permanently deleted after a 30-day grace period, together with your dreams, art, comments, friends and profile. Signing back in during those 30 days cancels the deletion. Deleting your account does not cancel a Visora Plus subscription; cancel it in your Apple ID subscription settings.

7. Your Rights and Choices

• See and edit your profile, and change any dream's visibility or delete it
• Turn AI processing and reminders on or off in Settings
• Block people and report content
• Delete your account in the app
• Ask us for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion, or object to processing, by emailing support@visora.app

Depending on where you live (for example, the EU, the UK or California), you may have additional rights under local law, including the right to complain to your data protection authority. We will respond to requests within the time the law requires.

8. Security

Your data is encrypted in transit and stored with Google Firebase, and our access rules limit who can read it. Since Visora 1.3, server keys for our AI providers stay on our servers and are never part of the app. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

Visora is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If we learn that a child under 13 has an account, we will delete it.

10. International Transfers

Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, they use safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. We will post the new version in the app and on this page and update the date above.
